ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT FROM WICOMICO COUNTY SHOOTING ARRESTED IN PRINCESS ANNE

Wicomico County, MD - Local law enforcement in Wicomico County, Maryland, has reported the arrest of Dequan Maurice Bratten in connection with a shooting that occurred on November 16, 2024, on N. Curlew Road in Salisbury, Maryland.


Bratten, a 32-year-old resident of Salisbury, Maryland, was apprehended at a residence in Princess Anne, Maryland, on December 26, 2024. A search and seizure warrant was executed after authorities identified a potential location where Bratten was suspected to be hiding.


This operation led to his arrest at the residence. Additionally, Qualesha Nyshae Lewis, a 31-year-old resident of Princess Anne, was also arrested at the same location on charges related to harboring a fugitive.


The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Joint-Community Action Team, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office STAR team, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, as well as officers and detectives from the Princess Anne Police Department.


The investigation remains active, with detectives working diligently to identify other individuals who may have assisted or supported Bratten after the crime.
