ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER LANDS CAMBRIDGE WOMAN IN HANDCUFFS

Caroline County, MD - The Caroline County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman after she allegedly assaulted a Law Enforcement Officer. On July 24, 2024, deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic disturbance call, which took place in the 3400 block of Laurel Grove Road in Federalsburg, Maryland.


The subject, later identified as Friday Caballero of Cambridge, Maryland, reportedly became combative during the investigation. Federalsburg Police Officer, who was assisting at the scene, was reportedly struck by Caballero using her hands and feet.


As a result of her actions, Caballero was arrested by the Caroline County Sheriff's Office. The charges levied against her include Second Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, and Intoxicated Endangerment.


Initially, Caballero was held without bond. However, following a bond review on July 25, 2024, she was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond.
