$25,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF SUSPECT THAT MURDERED 10-YEAR OLD SALISBURY BOY
Wicomico County, MD - The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit, assisted by the Salisbury Police Department, is actively seeking public assistance for an ongoing murder investigation.
The victim of this heinous crime was Tyron Colbert, Jr., a ten-year-old boy from Salisbury, Maryland. His death occurred on August 5, 2024, and law enforcement is diligently working to find the suspect responsible.
As the investigation continues, Federal, State and Local authorities are now offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspect responsible for this crime.
Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were summoned to a residence in the 200 block of Clay Street, in Salisbury, Maryland, after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting around 10:30 p.m. on August 5, 2024.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound and passed away as a result of the injury. The police believe that the 10-year-old boy was at home with his mother and two siblings at the time of the shooting.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken over as the lead investigative agency, with support from the Salisbury Police Department. Crime scene evidence has been transported to the State Police Forensic Sciences Division crime laboratory for further analysis.
The authorities do not have a description of the suspect. They are presently interviewing witnesses and local residents.
