On Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:56 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle, that would be found to be operated by Josniel Cisneros, after the deputy clocked Cisnero on radar driving at 94 mph in a 35 mph on South Boulevard in Salisbury, Maryland.
Instead of immediately stopping, Cisnero continued southbound before appearing to stop in the middle of the intersection with Vine Street in Salisbury, Maryland. As the deputy approached Cisnero’s vehicle, Cisnero took off again. The deputy pursued Cisnero, as he continued southbound on South Salisbury Boulevard, during which the deputy observed that Cisnero was all over the road and driving erratically.
The deputy pursued Josniel Cisneros into a parking lot in the 700 block of S. Salisbury Boulevard, at which point Cisnero parked his vehicle and began walking away while ignoring the deputy’s instructions to stop.
The deputy was able to prevent Cisnero from leaving the scene and took him into custody, at which point the deputy observed multiple indicators that suggested that Cisnero was under the influence of alcohol.
Following the administration of sobriety testing, the deputy arrested Cisnero and transported him to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Cisnero was officially charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Attempt to Elude Police, Driving Without a License, Aggressive Driving, Reckless Driving and Negligent Driving.
