On the evening of Tuesday, May 11, 2021, Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an altercation in front of a residence in the 7000 block of Chatham Manor Way in Pittsville, Maryland. This incident was posted on our Eastern Shore Undercover social media pages, as one of our live posts.

The Deputies met with two victims, who reported that they had been assaulted by the suspect, who was later identified as Joshua Franklin Blank of Snow Hill, Maryland. The victims advised that after a heated argument, Blank attempted to back over the victims with his vehicle.

The victims reported that Joshua Blank intentionally backed his Chevy Tahoe over the curb and into the front yard of a residence. The vehicle struck one of the victims and nearly missed the second.

After the investigation, Blank was arrested, charged with 2 counts of assault in the 1st degree, reckless endangerment and taken to Central Booking.

Blank was seen by the District Court of Maryland’s Commissioner and was initially held without bond. Later on that day, Joshua Blank went in front of the District Court of Maryland judge for a bond review. During that bond review, he was released on his own recognizance.

Blank currently has a court date scheduled for June 10, 2021 for a preliminary hearing at the District Court of Maryland in Salisbury.
