Bomb Threat at Somerset Intermediate School – Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022

We’ve received many messages asking about what has happened at Somerset Intermediate School. Unfortunately, we were not able to verify anything until about 10 minutes ago so therefore we couldn’t post anything.

Our sources tell us that the Somerset Intermediate School received a bomb threat at some point earlier this morning. Many law enforcement officers are on the scene and conducting their investigation at this time. They are utilizing all of their resources, including multiple bomb-sniffing dogs from various locations around the shore.

The students are safe and not in danger at this time. They were evacuated and sent to a nearby location, Somerset Technical School on Tawes Drive, for their safety.

If any parents want to pick up their students, they may do so, but please be patient as there may be a wait time. The school must make sure that all students are accounted for and released to a verified parent or guardian for pickup.

If you intend on picking up your child, please make sure you bring your identification.

Those unable to pick up their student at this time should wait for further information as transportation arrangements are being made.
